We opened on Arlington Way in October 2013. The street is a short walk from Angel tube. Close enough that people pass us on their way to and from the station. Close enough that the neighbourhood has always been our neighbourhood. More than twelve years on, that has not changed.

The Shop and What We Do
People come to us with all kinds of things. A suit that needs cleaning before an interview. A dress that needs taking in.
A pair of boots with a broken zip. A duvet that has been on the bed since last winter and finally needs washing. A wedding dress that needs to fit properly in three weeks.
We deal with all of it. Dry cleaning covers suits, coats, silk, cashmere, leather, wedding dresses, and specialist pieces including Burberry and Canada Goose. Our tailoring service covers everything from a basic trouser hem to a full jacket reline in silk.
Laundry ranges from a single shirt to a full service wash. Shoe repair covers heels, soles, zips, and leather upper work. Clothing alterations handles trousers, dresses, skirts, jackets, and coats of all kinds.
We have been doing this long enough to know what works and what does not. We are honest with customers when something is not worth doing. We are straightforward about what a repair or clean will and will not achieve.

Khurram has run Angelz since founding the business in 2013.
Khurram has worked in the dry cleaning and tailoring trade for many years. He opened Angelz to run the kind of local shop he would want to use himself. That means careful with garments, honest with customers, and present at the counter most days. The longer he has done this, the more selective he is about what each piece needs.
He is in the shop most days. Have a question about a specific garment, a repair, or an unusual cleaning job? Ask for him at the counter.

The Shop
The shop is at 18 Arlington Way, EC1R 1UY. It is a two-minute walk from Angel tube on the Northern Line. Customers come in from across Islington, Clerkenwell, Pentonville, Finsbury, and King’s Cross. Some have been coming in for years. New faces arrive every week. Arlington Way is a quiet street. It runs parallel to Roseberry Avenue, away from the main foot traffic of Upper Street. It is the kind of street where you either know it is there or you discover it by chance. Once people find us, they tend to come back.

What We Stand For
Clothes and shoes are not disposable.
A good suit cleaned and maintained properly lasts decades. A quality pair of leather shoes resoled every few years outlasts a dozen cheaper pairs. A dress altered to fit properly gets worn. One that does not gets left on a hanger. We take this seriously. It is why we tell people honestly when a repair is not worth the cost. It is why we take the time to look at a garment before any work begins. We are not processing volume. We are looking after individual things that belong to individual people.
