We have answered the questions we hear most often at the shop below. If something is not covered here, call us on +44 20 7833 1133 or come in to Arlington Way — we are happy to advise before you drop anything off.
No. We are a walk-in service for all standard jobs — dry cleaning, laundry, shoe repairs, and most alterations. Bring your items in, we assess them at the counter, give you a price and a collection date, and contact you when everything is ready.
We are at 18 Arlington Way, Angel, London EC1R 1UY. The shop is a two-minute walk from Angel tube station on the Northern Line. Come out of the main exit onto Islington High Street, turn right towards Roseberry Avenue, and Arlington Way is a short turn on the right. For full directions, visit our contact page.
We call or text when your order is ready to collect. Make sure we have a working contact number when you drop off. If you have not heard from us by the collection date we gave you, feel free to call the shop.
Same-day service is not standard, but for certain straightforward jobs — a shirt press, a basic repair — it may be possible depending on how busy the shop is. Ask when you come in and we will let you know.
We opened in October 2013 and have been serving Angel, Islington, and the surrounding area from the same address ever since.
We dry clean suits, jackets, coats, dresses, skirts, trousers, silk garments, cashmere, knitwear, ties, scarves, wedding dresses, leather jackets, and household items including curtains and bedding. For specialist pieces including Burberry coats and Canada Goose jackets, we have dedicated services. A full list is on our dry cleaning page.
Most garments are ready within two to three working days. More specialist pieces — wedding dresses, leather jackets, Canada Goose jackets — take three to five working days due to the additional care involved. We give you a specific date at drop-off.
Yes. We pre-treat stains before the main clean. The sooner a stained garment comes in, the better the result — fresh stains are significantly easier to treat than set stains.
It means the fabric or construction cannot safely be washed in water. Dry cleaning uses solvent rather than water, which cleans the garment without the shrinkage, colour change, or structural damage that water can cause. Following the care label is always the right approach.
Yes. Wedding dress cleaning is a specialist service at £125.00. We handle lace, silk, beading, and embellishments with individual assessment before any cleaning begins. We also offer wedding dress fitting and alterations — see our wedding dress cleaning page for full details.
The service wash is £15.00 for up to 5kg of mixed laundry. You bring a bag in, we sort, wash, dry, and fold the contents, and you collect it ready to put away. No sorting required on your end. Most service washes are ready within one to two working days. Full details are on our service wash page.
Yes. Standard cotton shirts start at £2.99. Linen shirts are £3.99. Evening shirts are £4.99. Silk shirts are £9.99. All shirts come back pressed and on a hanger. If you only need pressing rather than laundering, the press-only service starts at £1.99.
Yes. Single duvets are £24.99, doubles are £34.99, and king size duvets are £39.99. We handle feather, down, and synthetic fillings. Bedding sets, sheets, pillowcases, and blankets are also laundered. See our laundry service page for the full price list.
We offer a full range — trouser hemming, tapering, waist adjustment, jacket sleeve shortening, jacket tapering, dress and skirt shortening, zip replacement, button work, relining, and wedding dress fitting. For a full overview, visit our tailoring page and clothing alterations page.
Hemming both trouser legs is £8.99. Come in wearing the trousers and the shoes you plan to wear with them — this gives the most accurate hem length first time.
Yes. The brand or retailer does not affect what we can alter — the construction and fabric of the specific garment does. We assess each piece before confirming what is achievable and at what price.
Most standard alterations — hemming, tapering, zip replacement — are ready within two to three working days. More involved work such as jacket relining or wedding dress fitting may take five to seven working days. We give you a specific date at drop-off.
We replace heels, resole shoes and boots, repair leather uppers, replace zips on boots, and offer a professional shoe polishing service. Men’s heel repair starts at £20.00, women’s from £15.00. Sole replacement starts at £30.00. Full details are on our shoe repair page.
Yes. Chelsea boots, ankle boots, knee-high boots, and work boots are all assessed and repaired. Boot zip replacement, sole work, and heel repair are all available.
For quality leather shoes with sound uppers, almost always yes. A sole replacement or heel repair costs a fraction of what replacing a good pair of shoes costs. We will tell you honestly at drop-off if a repair does not make financial sense for the specific shoe.
