Why Location Matters Here
Sadler’s Wells has been on this corner since 1683 in one form or another. The current building draws audiences, performers, and production staff from across London. It’s one of the UK’s best-known dance venues — and the streets immediately around it are full of people who work odd hours, wear good clothes, and need them looked after.
We’ve been at this address since 2013. The theatre has been our nearest neighbour the whole time.
People who work in the arts — stage management, choreographers, front-of-house staff, visiting companies — often have a particular relationship with clothing. Black is everywhere. Delicate fabrics get worn hard. Things need cleaning on short turnaround. We understand that.
What We Handle
Dry cleaning is the main thing. Suits, wool coats, silk, dresses, knitwear. Specialist pieces too — Canada Goose, Burberry, cashmere. Wedding dresses. Each garment gets assessed first. We check the fabric and the label before anything else happens.
Thelaundry service is useful for residents in the EC1R streets around the theatre. Lots of flats here. Not much room for bulky washing. We take duvets in all sizes, do shirt laundering, and handle service washes.
Tailoring is available on site. Ourtailor does the practical stuff — hems, suit adjustments, zip repairs, relining, sleeve work. Bring the garment in, we’ll look at it, give you a price, and go from there. Nothing starts without your say-so.
From the front of Sadler’s Wells, turn left out of the entrance. Left again onto Arlington Way. We’re a few doors along.
