Upper Street runs from Angel northwards through Islington — restaurants, pubs, independent shops, the Almeida Theatre. We’re on Arlington Way, which branches off just south of the Angel junction.
From the bottom of Upper Street, we’re a four-minute walk. From further up, towards Highbury Corner, a bit more.

Upper Street is Islington’s main artery. It’s busy most days and most evenings. TheAlmeida Theatre sits about halfway along it — one of London’s most respected producing theatres, drawing audiences and artists from across the city.
The residential streets feeding off Upper Street — Cross Street, Dagmar Terrace, Ripplevale Grove — are some of the most desirable in the borough. Period houses, well-kept gardens, the kind of wardrobes that come with them.

Getting Here from Upper Street
From the Angel end of Upper Street, turn left onto Islington High Street and then left again onto Arlington Way. Four minutes.
From further up Upper Street — past the Almeida — head south on foot. The whole stretch from Highbury Corner to us is around twenty minutes. Buses run the length of Upper Street regularly and stop at Angel if you’d rather not walk the full distance.
